* The English referee replaced Dutchman Christiaan Jacobus Groothoff, who had originally been intended to direct the match.
** Despite of his Belgian origin, he played twice for France while still a minor. During World War I, he played inofficially matches for Belgium under the pseudonym “Vandendey”, and later took on Belgian citizenship. He soon emigrated to Australia, where he set up a wool business and played for Sydney and Melbourne until 1923.

* El árbitro inglés sustituyó al holandés Christiaan Jacobus Groothoff, que en un principio era el colegiado designado para arbitrar el encuentro.
** A pesar de su origen belga, fue internacional con Francia dos veces siendo menor de edad. Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, disputó partidos no oficiales con Bélgica con el seudónimo de “Vandendey”, y más tarde adquirió la nacionalidad belga. Pronto emigró a Australia, en donde se estableció como comerciante de lana y jugó en Sydney y Melbourne hasta 1923.

** Als er noch nicht volljährig war, bestritt er zwei Länderspiele für Frankreich, obgleich er belgischer Abstammung war. Während des I. Weltkrieges absolvierte er unter dem Pseudonym "Vandendey" inoffizielle Auswahlspiele für Belgien und nahm später auch die belgische Staatsbürgerschaft an. Er emigrierte bald nach Australien, wo er bis 1923 noch für Sydney und Melbourne spielte sowie sich als Wollhändler niederließ.

* L’arbitre anglais remplaça le Néerlandais hristiaan Jacobus Groothoff, qui devait initialement officier lors de ce match.
** Malgré ses origines belges, il joua deux fois pour la France alors qu’il était mineur. Durant la première guerre mondiale, il joua non-officiellement des matches pour la Belgique sous le pseudo “Vandendey” et prit plus tard la nationalité belge. Il émigra bientôt en Australie, où il établit un commerce de laine et joua pour Sydney et Melbourne jusqu’en 1923.
